Stanford Medicine Outpatient Center Set To Open On February 17
Patients can now visit a wide array of Stanford outpatient clinics, from orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine to pain management and sleep medicine, through one main door. The Stanford Medicine Outpatient Center, which opens Feb. 17 in Redwood City, is the new home of specialized services that were previously located on the main campus at Stanford University Medical Center.

"Our goal was to create an environment that matches Stanford's quality of care," said Stanford Hospital President and CEO Martha Marsh. "Every aspect of patient comfort, convenience and service has been carefully planned," she said.

The Outpatient Center, located at 450 Broadway St., offers convenience and easy access with the continued excellence of care that is a hallmark of Stanford Hospital & Clinics. The new facility includes specialized services in orthopaedics & sports medicine, sleep medicine, pain management, dermatology, digestive health and imaging services. In addition, the site includes outpatient services for hand and upper extremities, joint replacement, spine disorders and physical therapy. There are no emergency or urgent care services at the Outpatient Center.

The Outpatient Center's four pavilions and 360,000 square feet include 96 exam rooms and eight operating rooms (six at opening). An on-site imaging center, complete with the latest MRI and CT technology, will offer patients reduced waiting time for appointments.
