At ECR 2009 In Vienna, March 6-10, Sectra Focus On Solutions For Important Radiology Trends
Sectra will highlight its new PACS generation enabling a workflow just as efficient whether radiologists are working locally or across department and hospital boundaries. Sectra PACS features RapidConnect™, a unique technology which allows radiologists to work from anywhere that offers reasonable Internet access, and share images and information between multiple locations-with ease. This way, Sectra PACS provides the opportunity to cope with ever-expanding challenges such as increased financial pressure, shortage of resources as well as increasing data volumes. Northern Ireland and Region Skåne are two perfect examples:
- Northern Ireland, where 25 hospitals will be connected via a common Sectra RIS/PACS solution creating a single enterprise with a single database and image archive, is a perfect example of how different healthcare units, and even an entire healthcare systems, can be joined together. As a result, an integrated flow of images and information can be created, ensuring that available resources are utilized optimally and thus increasing efficiency.
- Region Skåne, where 10 hospitals perform nearly a million radiology exams annually, is linked together in an overall radiology IT infrastructure delivered by Sectra. This is another example of how efficient use of resources can be achieved through improved distributed radiology cooperation within and outside a region…
